Ms. Paula de Mello Alves is a Brazilian lawyer with a bachelor’s degree in theology. She is the Executive Secretary of the Southern Diocese of the Episcopal Anglican Church of Brazil and is training to be ordained. Working with the youth and women’s ministry in her diocese, Alves advocates for a closer relationship between the two groups, considering their significant age gap. She is a member of the Anglican Communion Youth Network (ACYN) and serves as the Americas Regional Co-Chair and Global Co-Convener. Working with the Network, Alves had the opportunity to participate in a Gender and Leadership Development Seminar, a course on “Agents of Change,” and the “Women Mentoring Women” Conference.
